Texthouse’s Jules Horne has a second life as a playwright, and her latest show will be performed at Selkirk’s Bowhill Theatre this Sunday, 10th June. Scotsman Fringe First winner Allotment is a dark comedy about two symbiotic sisters who play out their bitter rivalry among the fruit and veg of a real allotment. The play is currently on a UK tour, complete with touring shed and plants, and will take place in Bowhill’s lovely walled gardens, or in the theatre if it’s wet. Expect tea, scones, and a bitter-sweet treat for anyone aged 7 and over. The show stars Nicola Jo Cully and Gowan Calder, and is produced by Edinburgh’s Nutshell Theatre. For more on the show, see the Nutshell Theatre website.
