Eyemouth-based diving company Marine Quest are playing a major part in the rise of Eyemouth and St Abbs as a magnet for divers. Recently they upgraded their accommodation and were keen to attract more long-stay divers and continental visitors, so it was time for a new website.
Iain and Jim Easingdale worked with Galashiels web designers Cohorts by Design and Jedburgh copywriters Texthouse to create an image-rich site aimed at the company’s two main audiences of leisure divers and technical divers. To build return visits, Cohorts included an interactive dive map showing wreck locations, a blog, and a link to the Marine Quest Facebook page. Iain is delighted with the result:
‘Now it reflects our high-quality offering, and has much more impact. We’ve found Facebook and the gallery quick and easy to update as a way of keeping things fresh. Our divers can post their own images, which gives us more traffic and helps us to keep in touch with our customers.’
